Giving is one of the seven practices we keep coming back to. It isn't a fee for attending, and guests never give — this page is for people who call Venture home and want their money pointed at something that lasts.
Why give
Three reasons people do this
It puts first things first
Giving early and on purpose changes how you hold everything else. It's a practice, and like any practice it gets easier the longer you do it.
It's how the work gets paid for
Sunday mornings, the kids' building, the counselors, the outreach teams. None of it runs on good intentions.
It's not about the amount
Start where you actually are. Nobody here is measuring, and nobody will follow up about it.

Four things your giving pays for
Our mission is to reach the Bay for Christ. Practically, that comes down to four things.
Sunday morning
The room, the band, the teaching, the people who set it all up before you arrive. This is the largest share and the least glamorous.
Kids and students
Venture Kids from birth through 5th grade, BLAST for 6th–8th, and high school. Their own leaders, their own space, background checks and training for every volunteer.
Outreach, near and far
Local partners across the South Bay, and global work through Venture Outreach. Money leaves this building and doesn't come back.
Care and support
Recovery, grief, marriage, counseling referrals. The things people need in the seasons they didn't plan for.

How to give
Six ways to do it

Online, one-time or recurring
Card, bank transfer, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Recurring giving takes about a minute to set up and you can change or stop it yourself, any time.
Give online →Stock and other assets
Giving appreciated stock can be more tax-efficient than giving cash, and it takes a few minutes.
Give assets →Donor-advised funds
If you give through a fund at Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, or National Christian Foundation, search our EIN and recommend a grant.
In person on Sunday
There's a box by the doors at the Worship Center. No plate gets passed down the row.
By mail

You can name the church in a will, a trust, a retirement plan, or an IRA distribution. Talk to us and to your own advisor before you do.

Your employer might match this
Plenty of Bay Area companies match employee donations, some at two or three times the amount. Check your HR portal for a matching program and nominate Venture Christian Church.
Most matching runs through a platform your company already uses. If yours asks for paperwork from us, call the office and we'll handle it.

Yes. We're a 501(c)(3), and you'll get a statement by Jan 31 for the prior year.
General giving is the most useful, because it funds the whole operation. We do run designated funds for specific efforts, and the online form lists whatever is currently open.
Any time, yourself, in the giving portal. You don't need to call anyone or explain why.
Then don't give. Come anyway. And if things are hard enough that you need help, that's what the care team is for — ask at The HUB.
Ask the office for the annual report. We'll send it to anyone who wants it.
